Historic Plaque Unveiling

At 12.45pm on Friday 11th April, His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell, will be unveiling an historic plaque outside the new Visitor Information Centre in Market Square.
This plaque commemorates the first arrival of Guernsey Cattle in America in 1840 and the island's strong ties with the USA.
Islanders and visitors to Guernsey are welcome to go along to celebrate this historic moment and enjoy a toast to the Guernsey breed with a glass of milk, courtesy of the Guernsey Dairy.
Also on show will be some calves from St Catherine's Farm.
