A new App enables passengers to get up to the minute information on where there bus is.
Ct Plus in Guernsey has launched a new App, based on the one that's gone live in Jersey.
Kevin Hart, who manages the company, says the two islands are the first in the parent company Tower Transit's network to pioneer bus apps:
"This is a new development for everybody. We're starting it on the Channel Islands and as and when we grow in the UK, we'll roll this same thing out."
The App uses GPS and Kevin Hart says it's packed with relevant information, including a link to traffic diversions:
"It uses Google to help you plan and it's got links through to the website. It's got 'my location' so what's the next bus coming towards me? You can see the buses moving along so you can just click on them. You can also click on the bus stop sand it'll tell you which bus is coming through there next."
He says it's been designed to be user-friendly to everyone:
"It's great for tourists because it knows where you are. If you're visiting the island you won't know the name of the bus stop, but it tracks you and shows you where you are, and the next bus coming towards you."
To find the app go to the Apple AppStore or GooglePlay and search "Buses.gg"
