Direct flights from Guernsey to Malaga next summer

Left to right: Palma, Faro and Malaga.

There will be direct flights from Guernsey to the Costa del Sol next summer, as FlyDirect announces its 2025 programme.

Malaga joins Majorca and Faro on Portugal's Algarve as destinations islanders will be able to take a holiday without a connecting flight.

3,500 seats on the May-October services, operated by BA CityFlyer, go on sale this morning (17 September).

CI Travel Group says passenger volumes increased by two thirds this summer.

Keen travellers are still able to book flights only or inclusive holidays.

Managing Director Robert Mackenzie says it is increasing child discounts on travel during the summer school holidays:

"We want to offer the best value possible for families and our higher child discounts of up to £100 per child for a return flight or holiday are designed to help with the cost of their holiday."

Guernsey Ports' newly appointed Managing Director, Ross Coppolo is pleased to see a continuing increase in the demand for direct flights from Guernsey to European destinations and the addition of a third destination for 2025 with Malaga.

"This continues to align with one of our own objectives to offer a network of sustainable connectivity directly into Europe."
