Flybe Collapse: Condor 'Ready To Help'

Credit: Condor Ferries

Condor has increased capacity on existing sailings 'over the coming days' because of the collapse of Flybe.

The ferry company says it's ready to help any disrupted passengers and are prepared to schedule additional departures 'should the need arise'.

Many people who were prepared to fly with the now-defunct airline have decided to try and book journeys with Condor.

"Given the Flybe announcement today, we recognise many customers will have concerns over their upcoming travel. Condor is ready to help any disrupted passengers and has increased capacity on existing sailings over the coming days to assist those affected.

"We offer daily services to the mainland via Portsmouth and Poole, along with frequent inter-island connections so we hope to be able to help everyone continue with their planned journeys."

Flybe went into administration early this morning, with all flights grounded. It was a regular choice for people in and out of the island. Blue Islands flights are NOT affected.

Jersey's Economic Development Minister Senator Lyndon Farnham says there's lots of interest from other operators to step in and take over Flybe routes.
