Guernsey's Lieutenant Governor has sent a message of congratulations to the Queen for her 70 year reign.
Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell has written to Her Majesty on behalf of islanders, recalling past Royal Visits to the Bailiwick.
"His Excellency’s letter is a formal but heartfelt acknowledgement from us all on this unprecedented anniversary of The Queen’s lifetime of service to the British family worldwide." - Secretary and ADC Major Marco Ciotti.
The island has also sent the special Guernsey Platinum Jubilee Flag in a commemorate purple box.
It was designed by Ben Le Marchant who won a competition.
The top seven entries have been made in to postcards which have also been sent to the Queen.
Major Ciotti says the Palace is aware that the full-sized flag is flying from the Weighbridge mast.
It will also feature at Government House this week during the Queen's Birthday reception and Saturday's Community Fete.
