More UK Trial Sailings This Month

Condor will be operating further trial sailings to and from the UK in August.

The ferry firm will be running two passenger services from Poole.

The news follows the Civil Contingencies Authority's latest announcement that from 17 August Guernsey will permit seven day quarantine for travellers entering the Bailiwick from certain places.

There will be direct Liberation sailings between Guernsey and Poole on Sunday 23rd and Sunday 30th of this month.  The services will operate under Covid safety guidelines, which include reduced capacity onboard the ship, card-only payments and mandatory face masks.

It follows similar trials in July.

Guernsey's borders remain closed to non-essential travel until at least the end of the month.  No date has been set for them to reopen.

‘We have agreed to put on these sailings in advance of the resumption of a more regular schedule to Poole and St Malo in due course.

‘This is in line with the States’ move to the next phase of travel restrictions and we are happy to support efforts for assessing safe, sustainable options before borders can be opened.’ - Condor spokesperson.
