Improvements to make two Guernsey coastal roads safer for pedestrians have been completed.
Walkways have been painted on Rue des Bordeaux and Castle Road.
A plastic bollard has been bolted into the tarmac at the junction between the two roads so that cars turning left onto Castle Road will have to give people more space.
Speaking earlier this month, when Traffic and Highways Services announced the changes, Senior Traffic Officer, Mark Brockway, said they were in response to feedback from the Vale Constables and the public.
“Creating a space for walking which is separate from the rest of the road will undoubtedly improve road safety.
If you drive, please remember that there is no difference in law between raised footpaths and walkways marked out by white lines."
