A 'Tiny Seed' and her Dad raise money for Tiny Seeds

When Nina heard her Dad was taking on a challenge, she wanted to do one too.

Jersey physiotherapist, Adam, is tackling the London Marathon, and his daughter, Nina, is taking on the '1 in 6' Tiny Seeds challenge.

Five-year-old Nina is proving that even the tiniest seeds can grow into something amazing.

Nina is, in fact, the very “tiny seed” that inspired the charity’s name, founded by Mum, Chloé, shortly after Nina was born.

Now, she's completing the Tiny Seeds 1 in 6 Challenge, which has been taking place throughout March and April, and she’s not just doing one of the challenges - she’s taking on six.

She decided to commit to the challenge when she heard her dad was taking on the London Marathon. Adam said: "When Nina heard that I was doing my challenge, she instantly wanted to do something. It's been nice to see her take on something herself.

"My wife and I, Chloe, struggled with secondary infertility.

"We needed to access the services that were available. It's a rollercoaster and a difficult process, but we were lucky enough to be successful with IVF, and that's where Nina came along."

Nina said she has been baking with her mum:

"I have three more laps of running, and I've done my swimming and baking. I want to do another bake sale, and I think the walk will be the 'funnest.'"

Through their experience, Adam and his wife Chloé faced the struggle of secondary infertility for six years while navigating the emotional, physical and financial toll of IVF.

They felt first-hand the isolation and loneliness that often come with fertility challenges.

Chloé and her team founded Tiny Seeds to provide support, connection, and hope for others on the same journey.

Adam is hopeful of completing the marathon in under 4 hours while raising important funds for the charity, he is determined to ensure that no one in Jersey has to face infertility alone.

He said:

"This marathon is not just about crossing the finish line (but I am determined that I will!), it is about helping to bring hope to those people struggling to grow their families. Every donation will help Tiny Seeds continue their brilliant work."

Nina will finish her challenges with a special walk from Le Port to La Pulente and back on 13 April.

She is inviting the community to join her in bright colours to celebrate and support Tiny Seeds.

To join the walk, please meet at Le Port car park at 9:45 am on Sunday, 13 April.
