Another Weather Record Broken

The unseasonably warm weekend in Jersey has broken another weather record.

It reached 25.8°C on Sunday (8 October), making it the second hottest October day.

The record is 26.9°C, measured on 1 October 2011.

Sunday was still a record-breaker though, in that it was the latest date in the year to have exceeded 25°Celsius.

Records stretch back to 1894.

A top temperature of 22.9°Celsius was recorded on Saturday (7 October).

Monday is also forecast to be very warm, with highs of 24°C, and temperatures are predicted to remain in the 20s until Friday - although conditions are set to be more cloudy with some rain from Thursday.
