Deputy fined £575 for driving over double the speed limit

Deputy Philip Ozouf has been fined for speeding and failing to display a valid insurance disc in his car.

The Jersey Politician was fined a total of £575 across both offences in the Magistrate's Court this morning, 11 February. 

Ozouf was stopped by a police officer on 2 November 2024 after being observed driving at 31mph on a road with a 15mph speed limit.

He also failed to display an in-date motor insurance disc in his vehicle. 

The Deputy pleaded guilty to both offences.
