Digital COVID Certificates Available Next Week

QR codes to prove islanders have been vaccinated against Covid-19 will be rolled out next week.

They will be able to replace the existing paper certificates posted out by the Government of Jersey.

The barcodes have been developed with the NHS, allowing them to be used anywhere certificates issued in the UK are accepted.

They will also be accepted on the EU's Digital COVID Certificate Gateway in the coming days, allowing travel across Europe.

Earlier this month, the government confirmed a Yoti digital ID would be required to obtain the QR code. They can be accessed from one.gov.je, the same website used to access government services including filing tax returns online.

Over 16s will be able to download and print their QR codes starting early next week.

Children or anyone without internet access can have the codes emailed to them by calling the Covid Helpline.
