Work to resurface Havre des Pas has been completed two weeks early.
The arterial route into town re-opened today (14 February).
As part of the work, speed bumps have been installed along the coastal road.
A new zebra crossing will be put in place later this year.
The work started on 10 January and was temporarily paused towards the end of last month because technical issues at the Ronez manufacturing plant meant asphalt couldn't be supplied.
The government says weather conditions and having the road closed 24-hours a day allowed the work to be completed early.
The Infrastructure Department has apologised to those who have been affected by the work and has thanked motorists.
"I’m really pleased to see the completion of this work well ahead of the original schedule.
Thank you to the team for their committed work on site since the start of the year, and for getting motorists home a little earlier than they might have expected this evening." - Deputy Kevin Lewis, Infrastructure Minister.
