Health Department Issues Advice To Stop Spread Of Coronavirus

Jersey's government is urging islanders travelling over half-term to make sure they take the relevant precautions amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

That includes washing hands thoroughly, keeping good respiratory hygiene and making sure surfaces are clean.

Nobody in Jersey has been diagnosed with the virus, but nine people have been tested.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is advising against all travel to the Hubei Province of China because of the outbreak.

People should only travel to the rest of mainland China if absolutely necessary.

All the latest advice from the Health & Community Services Department can be found at Gov.je.
