A Jersey illustrator is creating a new art installation for the Société for its 150th Anniversary celebrations.
Lauren Radley has been selected from an ArtHouse Jersey competition to create a mural for the heritage group.
Initially, she did not think she could take part in the project had to be made from wood, stone, ceramic or metal.
Although, the illustrator decided she would paint 150 tiles by hand using a dark blue taken from Societe Jersiaise's logo.
The tiles will be in the style of Delftware which is Dutch porcelain.
She says it will take around three hours to paint one tile.
"It's quite a big project, but usually I work in full colour and my work is really detailed."
"My idea for each tile is that it is going to be monochrome... they're going to be slightly simpler so the fact that it's going to be one colour rather than lots of colours will be easier."
Each tile will tell a different story from the 150 years in which the Societe has been around.
