Rising star, Josh Hearmon, will kick off the evening for an unforgettable night at the Jersey Opera House.
The 26-year-old from Corbiere will be joining Marti Pellow, former lead singer of Wet Wet Wet, in the lineup for the Battle of Flowers celebrations.
Josh sings a blend of R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop and Reggae, and takes influence from Paolo Nutini, Loyle Carner and Bob Marley.
He says it is an incredible feeling to have been given this opportunity by Marti and the Opera House.
"I’m so grateful to have been chosen as the special guest for August’s show.
"It’s such a great thing to see big acts come over to Jersey and, through the Opera House, look to promote local musicians at their shows."
Josh will be performing on stage along with his mum, Janice Hervieu, and friend, Reuben Gower.
Excited to perform, he says he will also be playing a few tracks featuring guitar from his dad.
“It’s lovely to have a family element in there.
“I’ll be playing each of my four songs from my EP, a couple of acoustic tracks, and then an unreleased song too.”
Marti Pellow expressed his anticipation for the upcoming performance.
"I’ve never been to Jersey before and I'm super excited to be playing at the Battle of Flowers Festival!
"It's truly an honour to be part of such a wonderful event that carries so much heritage.
"I can't wait to see all of you there on the 11th of August, it’s going to be an amazing time. Let’s make some unforgettable memories together!"
