Four more students across four Jersey schools have tested positive for coronavirus - causing hundreds of more pupils and their families into isolation.
The affected schools are Le Rocquier, Jersey College Prep, Haute Vallee and De La Salle.
The related class bubbles at College Prep and De La Salle and affected year groups at the other schools have been told to stay at home until the contact tracing process ends.
All schools have been deep cleaned and stay open on public health advice.
It follows news yesterday that hundreds of children were forced to isolate after four pupils and two staff at five schools tested positive for Covid-19 at the weekend.
When announcing new measures last night to try and prevent the further spread of coronavirus, the Chief Minister Senator John Le Fondre said cases are not spreading in schools.
"They (cases) are arriving in schools from infections that are spread in hospitality, in private functions, from fitness groups and too many people hosting parties."
