We all love our dogs who aren’t just part of the family… they are our family!

Looking after them is paramount to all and many look to dog groomers to make sure their pooch looks pristine whatever the time of year. From a cockapoo, to a spaniel, or a schitzu or a German shepherd, they all have their own personality and importantly... sound!

A dog's bark is something owners can usually identify as their own immediately, but how well do they know other types of dog?

From Monday 23rd September we will be asking you to Name that Bark, and identify which breed of dog makes that sound. Each day we will play a sound of a dog barking and give 3 options to the breed in question.  To enter,  simply text your answer to 07781 148 888 preceded by “Jennys” plus your name for a chance to win!

Jenny’s Dog Grooming offer a caring grooming service towards all dogs.  Potential clients to bring their dogs in to meet and greet so that the dog’s needs can be assessed as well as chat with the owner about their requirements. 

Certain appointments can be done at a quiet environment where more anxious dogs may do better being groomed then in a busier environment. Services include a full groom which includes a wash/blow dry, cut and nail clip, cleaning ears if needed! Simple wash/blow dry or cut is also offered if the dog has clean fur.

Puppy introduction sessions have proved very important to get puppy used to the grooming environment as soon as they have had their first two boosters. Puppy intro sessions include a couple of 20 to 30 minute drop-ins to the parlour where puppy can have a quiet time of taking in the smells and noises and get to meet Jenny. The next visit they can be put on the grooming table, have the clippers put on to hear the sounds and feel the vibrations and the dryer, all getting the puppy ready for their first wash/blow dry and then eventual cut.  The aim is a less anxious puppy who becomes a less anxious dog for future grooming visits.
